Stated plainly: MD Acumen does not formally offer PLAB 1 or PLAB 2 OSCE training courses. Our Clinical Consultation Day builds core knowledge, UK referral pathways and the Calgary–Cambridge consultation style — which provides significant support for candidates who go on to sit these professional licensing examinations. Always use the GMC's own resources as your primary reference.

Why consultation style matters

UK assessments reward the consultation, not just the knowledge

UK clinical assessment is built on the premise that safe doctors consult well: they gather data systematically, manage within UK pathways, and communicate in a structured, patient-centred way. That is why our teaching anchors to the Calgary–Cambridge model — the consultation architecture UK examiners and trainers expect — and why feedback on your own performance beats another lecture about someone else's.

Refresh the management scenarios UK practice expects you to know cold — urgent referrals, safeguarding, capacity, resuscitation decisions, complaints.
Consult under observation, then hear precisely what an expert would change.
Carry the same skills into finals, the UKMLA, PLAB 2 — and the first day of real UK practice.
